Hole In The Wall Lighthouse

At the southern tip of the Bahamas island of Abaco, this lighthouse has weathered many storms. The lighthouse at Hole In The Wall was built by the British Imperial Lighthouse Service in 1836. The archway, after which the area is named, was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The rocky cliffs tower above the raging seas below. Although no longer a working light house, the protected building still serves as a landmark for sailors
